Life sometimes does not go the way we hoped or planned. Disappointment, loss, anxiety…We are often aware that we need support or someone to talk to, but sometimes do not know where to start. Having a safe place to talk, to process old wounds, deal with overwhelm, complicated relationships, or help in making key decisions, therapy can help. My name is Crystal Alexander and I am a native of Mooresville. I have spent more than two decades working directly with people, first as an educator, and later as a counselor. Many of those years were spent with adolescents and elementary aged children in a local public school district. This allowed me to grow in experience, empathy, and maturity. It allowed me to work with a wide variety of people from all walks of life. While in education, I received high quality professional development around trauma and fostering resilience. In addition to working with young people, I have experience working with adults, particularly women, who were experiencing high levels of overwhelm or anxiety. I have a passion for moms as I believe healthy moms can lead to healthier families and ultimately healthier communities. I am in the process of becoming certified in Perinatal Mental Health by the Postpartum Support International.
